We Need Your Help!
As we embark on another exciting academic year at Westmont Junior High School, I wanted to take a moment to address an important matter that directly impacts our school community. The WJHS PTO has been tirelessly working behind the scenes to enhance the educational experience of our students and support our faculty and staff. However, we find ourselves at a critical juncture where we need your involvement to continue providing these valuable services.
The WJHS PTO plays a vital role in our school by funding various events and programs that enrich the lives of our students. Through the generous support of our parent and Westmont community, we have been able to organize events such as the much-anticipated 8th Grade Dance, the student skate, and parent events that foster a sense of camaraderie and togetherness. These events create lasting memories for our students, forging friendships and strengthening their connection to our school.
Additionally, the PTO's contributions extend beyond social events. We support extracurricular programs and curriculum, ensuring our students have access to diverse opportunities that promote their holistic growth. We also undertake school beautification projects, creating a welcoming environment that inspires and motivates our middle schoolers. And when teachers and staff require assistance, the PTO is there to lend a helping hand.
However, to sustain these vital services and continue to make a positive impact on our students' education, we must emphasize the need for increased parent involvement. It is through your active participation that we can successfully carry out the PTO's mission and provide the best possible opportunities for our students. By volunteering your time and skills, you become an essential part of the collective effort to enhance our children's educational journey.
There are numerous ways you can contribute to the PTO, depending on your availability and interests. We welcome volunteers for event planning and coordination, fundraising activities, committee participation, and general support. No contribution is too small, as even a few hours of your time can make a significant difference. Whether you have a particular skill set or simply a willingness to help, we invite you to join us and share your passion for creating an exceptional educational experience for our students.
I encourage you to attend our upcoming PTO meetings and learn more about how you can get involved. These meetings provide an opportunity to connect with other parents, stay informed about upcoming events and initiatives, and actively contribute to the decisions that shape our school community.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or would like to volunteer for specific tasks or events, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Your dedication and support are vital to the continued success of our school, and we deeply appreciate your involvement.
